My lovely wife and I just returned from a day trip. We had a great time! It was nice to get away, even if only for a little while. We drove west through the mountains and stopped a couple of places to eat. We, also, stopped to see a friend that we used to take to church with us. She is about 85 and is now in a nursing home about 65 miles from here. She was excited to see us. She knew, immediately, who we are in spite of the fact that she has some Alzheimers. We, also, saw about 6 deer along different parts of the highway as we were driving. The scenery is beautiful. I love the mountains. I like the ocean, too, but I would prefer the mountains over the ocean anyday. I was hoping to see some black bear, unfortunately, that didn't happen. So, it was a day of relaxation and fun. A chance to take a breather and enjoy one another's company and see an old friend and some beautiful scenery(I think I already mentioned that). Oh well, you get the idea.
So long and goodnight,
Richard

It sounds like you had a wonderful trip with your lovely wife. Too bad you didn't get to see any bears...I hear they seem to find you and your wife (that may only be bears in TN:). I can't believe your old friend remembered you. Sounds to me like just being in an environment where she has 24/7 care was just what she needed (and meds, too).
Thank you again for sharing about your trip.
